Located at the mouth of the Aurajoki river, the Telakkaranta area combines the shipbuilding industry’s history with modern architecture.
The old port’s cranes remind one of the past, and the location at the mouth of the Aurajoki river hints at the sea. The Forum Marinum area is located opposite Telakkaranta, on the other side of the river.
The area has been used as a venue for events such as the concerts connected to the Tall Ships Races 2017 event as well as markets. The relatively new area is still being shaped and offers many opportunities.

Transport links and parking: The venue is located about 2 km from Turku city centre.
Practical considerations: There are residential buildings right next to the area. Residents’ access to the buildings must be taken into consideration when organising an event.
Availability of water and electricity: Water and electricity are available on site. However, the water and electricity networks do not cover the entire area.
