Building and Permit Committee

The Building and Permit Committee acts as the building control authority, as stated in the land use and building law, and organises the guidance, councelling and supervision of building in the Turku region. It also acts as the municipal supervising authority as stated in the law of maintenance and public sanitation of streets and some other common use areas.

The committee has 13 members and there is a personal alternate for each of them.

The presenting official for the committee is the Director of Building Control. Leena Salmelainen The secretary of the committee is Harri Lehtinen.
