Katariinanlaakso

Katariinanlaakso is a 17 hectare nature destination consisting of hardwood grove patches. It is located near the southern suburbs of Turku close to the Kaarina border. The area includes also rocky forests, pine forests and dry meadows. The southern part of the nature reserve consists of waterside meadows.

Special characteristics of Katariinanlaakso vegetation include rich oaks and little-leaf lindens, a large number of grove plant species, and the rare dry meadow species in the hillside meadows. Rare mushrooms can also be found around the hillside meadows. Bird watching towers can be found from along the nature trails in Katariinanlaakso.

There are parking spaces in the area so you can come by car if you wish.
