What fishing licences do I need?
When fishing in the city’s waters, a Turku City fishing licence or a province-specific Lure Fishing Licence needs to be purchased. The licence is per household and you need to carry it with you when you are fishing. 18–64-year-olds must also pay the National Fisheries Management Fee for the state. Over 65-year-olds also need a General Fishing Licence from the city, though they do not need to pay the National Fisheries Management Fee. No licences are needed for angling or ice fishing in city waters.
