Turku participates in the nationwide Read Hour campaign and challenges all Turku residents to participate on 8 September 2020 from 14.00 to 15.00. Inspired by the campaign, the beginning of September in Turku is full of reading events and the library bridge will receive festive lighting during the event.

Children Should Not Attend Day Care or School When Ill

You cannot tell symptoms of coronavirus apart from symptoms of other infectious diseases unless you get tested for coronavirus. If there is a reason to believe that a child might have coronavirus, they can get tested. Parents of children based in Turku can book a time slot for their child to get tested for coronavirus by calling the coronavirus helpline. (Updated on 24 August)
